Concept development
The concept development stage is when the magic takes place – the intangible becomes tangible, the abstract becomes concrete and the dream becomes reality.
The concept of a product is the theoretical, structural, and configurational backbone on which the appearance and functioning of a product is based. The concept is the skeleton on which the design and engineering of the product is built. It usually includes the prominent and salient characteristics of a product, those that make it unique. The concept development stage includes idea generation and creative thinking based on findings and insights uncovered in the research stage. At the end of the concept development stage we present a variety of concept sketches of the product.
