IGLOO and its design team volunteer to promote the education and success of the next generation of Israel’s leaders in business and society.
IGLOO and the community
Since 2007, IGLOO’s industrial designers have mentored young people through Unistream, an NGO that focuses on resource-scarce communities in Israel’s periphery. Its aim is “educating tomorrow’s leaders today” to meet the economic and social challenges ahead.

As part of this effort, IGLOO’s team leads these pupils in developing and designing new products. During the year-long course, emphasis is placed on the technical and technological aspects of the field, as well as on building business plans and analyzing the feasibility and marketing possibilities of the final products.

Volunteering with Unistream affords IGLOO’s industrial designers and employees the chance to meet young people from all backgrounds and from all over the country; they consider it both an opportunity and a privilege. The warm and personal bond we form with the youngsters allows us not only to give, but to receive.
